Getting There
Metro
Line 2 (Zócalo station)
Zócalo station on Line 2 exits directly into the plaza. The Metro connects to the entire city and Estadio Azteca.
Mexico City Metro is one of the cheapest in the world. Buy a rechargeable card at any station. Avoid rush hour (7-9 AM, 5-7 PM).
Metrobús
Line 4
Line 4 runs through the Historic Center. The BRT system is modern, fast, and air-conditioned.
Metrobús Line 4 connects to the main bus terminal at Buenavista for intercity travelers.
Uber/DiDi
Ride-hailing apps are widely used and affordable. DiDi often has lower prices than Uber in CDMX.
Traffic in the Centro Histórico is heavy on event days. Getting dropped off a few blocks away and walking is often faster.
Walk
The Historic Center is very walkable. Most Centro Histórico hotels are within 10 minutes on foot.
